LG Optimus 4x HD unveiled with Ice Cream Sandwich, Quad core Tegra 3 processor

LG Officialy announced its first Quad core processor smartphone, LG Optimus 4X HD at Mobile World Congress 2012. LG Optimus 4X HD is the successor of LG Optimus 2x launched last year with dual core processor.

"LG introduced the world’s first Dual-Core smartphone exactly one year ago and today we’re announcing the next milestone," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. "But speed in itself isn’t what makes LG Optimus 4X HD unique, it’s the benefit we’re bringing to customers with the HD multimedia experience in a mobile form factor."

LG Optimus 4x HD runs latest version of Android OS i.e Android Ice Cream Sandwich equipped with 1.5 GHz NVIDIA Tegra Quad Core mobile processor, 4.7 inch (1280 x 720) True HD IPS Display, 16 GB internal memory.

In addition to that, LG Optimus 4X HD comes with 8 megapixel backside Illumination Sensor Camera with LED Flash and 1.3 Megapixel front camera.

Prism edge designed LG Optimus 4X HD delivers HD multimedia playpack features, its 12-core graphics processing unit (GPU) in Tegra 3 delivers a visually rich experience and console-quality game playability.
