Microsoft Speed Launch is an application launcher which gives quick access to documents, web pages and simply to any type of file. This product is available at Microsoft Labs so its safe(should be safe) to use. Its a “prototype” which means that its a project Microsoft employees work on their spare time.Only downside is that it doesn’t let you install without agreeing to send usage details to them. There is no details about what kind of data is sent but its said that the information used will not be used to identify the user in their privacy policy. (So if you are paranoid simply block access to it from the firewall). So far I’ve used it and it seems a very good and useful application.
The program requires Vista or XP with SP2 installed with dotNet framework 3.
