EA has unveiled that EA SPORTS NHL SLAPSHOTS and NHL 11 are both equally available in stores of North America on September 7, 2010, as well as both games are going to be available in worldwide stores on September 9, 2010 that is today. EA SPORTS NHL 11 is presented for PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, whereas NHL SLAPSHOTS is available completely for Wii.

NHL 11:
- NHL 11 marks the 20th Anniversary of the award captivators EA SPORTS NHL franchise by introducing a genre altering real-time physics that will replicate the real sport like never before.
- Every check, broken stick and bounce of the puck will now react as it does in the real world with the help of real physics empowering NHL 11.
- Users will be able to enjoy more control than they ever had in an EA SPORTS NHL game as players will be given all the options that an NHL center has at its disposal in the faceoff circle all due to the newly introduced revamped faceoff system.
- Also, the EA SPORTS Ultimate Hockey League makes its debut in NHL 11 in which players will be able to collect cards that will represent players on their team.
- With 4000 cards to collect and use, users will have to manage chemistry, training, and a salary cap as they build up their squad representing players from the CHL, European leagues and NHL.

- EA SPORTS NHL Slapshots which delivers the most exciting and realistic sports experience is been released by the makers of NHL 10 and the award captivators of 12 “Sports Game of the Year” exclusively for Nintendo Wii.
