Microsoft has released Silverlight 5 Release Candidate to the developers to upgrade their projects from the Silverlight 5 Beta version and get ready for the actual release.

Today, Microsoft has released most awaited version 1.0 of its free web platform product Microsoft WebMatrix .

Microsoft Webmatrix is a new web development tool that makes easy for anyone to create a new web site using a template or an existing free open source application, customize it by editing your files, managing your database and modifying your server settings , and then publish it on the internet via a wide choice of hosting service providers.

WebMatrix allows you to implement world’s popular and free open-source Web applications, including DotNetNuke, Umbraco, WordPress, Joomla!, and more. Download Microsoft Expression Web 3 Service Pack 2

Recently, Microsoft has released the Expression Web 3 Service pack 2. Microsoft Expression Web 3 Service Pack 2 (SP2) contains general improvements to the application and in SuperPreview.

Issues resolved in this service pack

When editing PHP, files you may have been asked to update related hyperlinks on the page. If you did so, some PHP tags may have been removed. PHP tags are no longer removed when you update related hyperlinks.
When you renamed a PDF file from the Folder List, the PDF file became corrupted and could not be opened. PDF files now save normally.
Expression Web 3 would crash if the list-style-image property was used in a CSS file. Using the list-style-image property in a CSS file no longer causes Expression Web to crash.
SuperPreview sometimes crashed while launching because of a problem that occurred when locating Firefox on your computer. SuperPreview no longer crashes while locating Firefox.

And also SuperPreview now supports Firefox 3.6. If Firefox 3.6 is installed on your computer, then it should be available in SuperPreview.

*Note : To Install Microsoft Expression Web 3 SP 2 you must have installed Microsoft Expression Web 3 or SP1 on your machine

The Windows® API Code Pack v0.90 for Microsoft® .NET Framework provides a source code library that can be used to access some new Windows 7 features (and some existing features of older versions of Windows operating system) from managed code. These Windows features are not available to developers today in the .NET Framework.

Today Microsoft released beta 2 of "Geneva," open platform that dramatically simplifies user access and secure collaboration across organizational boundaries.

Code Name “Geneva” is Microsoft’s user access platform for developers and IT professionals that helps simplify access to applications and other systems with an open claims-based model. “Geneva” helps simplify user access for developers by externalizing user access from applications via claims and reducing development effort with pre-built security logic and integrated .NET tools. “Geneva” helps IT efficiently deploy and manage new applications by reducing custom implementation work, centralizing and standarizing access management across the enterprise, helping establish a consistent security model, and facilitating seamless collaboration between organizations.

“Geneva” includes three components for enabling claims-based access. Beta 2 of the following components are now available for public evaluation:
