Glance at World’s first Exclusive Windows 8 camp program in India

On 2nd March, The Park Hotel Hyderabad – More than 270 Windows Enthusiast were get together to celebrate the World’s first Exclusive Windows 8 camp program in India. It was indeed a great pleasure to be the part of this Exclusive Windows 8 Camp program along with few Microsoft Student Partners including Sreekant Nandakumar, Mayank Birla, Shreyas Goonay, Pratik Toshniwal, Kunal Mehta, Nawaz Dhandala, Harsha Nihanth.

The Camp was organized in Hyderabad, India from March 2nd – 3rd, 2012 at the Park Hotel. Primarily, the event focused on introducing Windows 8 and guiding the principle of building a ‘Metro Style’ app to a chosen set of technical/developer audience. During the Camp, Microsoft Experts shared exclusive content related to metro Style App development on Windows 8.

The Amazing part of the camp was 24-hours-no-sleep-just-code session i.e Hackathon. Within 24hrs, We had to build an Metro Style application based on our suggested Idea. Microsoft team were guiding us step by step and helping us by reviewing and suggesting more ideas to built our app. The Guidance were so clean, simple and quite easy to learn the development process of Metro Style application. Most of the audience including me were succeeded in building our first Metro Style Application.

While participant were showcasing their app idea on 3rd march morning, i got a chance to premiere my new short film i.e. I Love Windows Phone in front of that huge audience.

Overall the camp was awesome, Informative and would like to thanks to the Microsoft Windows 8 Camp India team and media agency for all their efforts to make this event a huge success.

Microsoft Community TechDays New Efficiency Launch @MumbaiITPro

Sorry, Being busy with something, I took time to write about the Community Techdays Event.

After Jaipur, Delhi, Hyderabad Microsoft Community Techdays – The New Efficiency Launch has been arrived to Mumbai on 26th Jan @Mayfair Banquet, Worli. This event was more powerful and interesting as compared to previous Tech-ed on the road event.

26th Jan, the Republic Day of India. The people were requested to put Indian Flag Badge. The Event Started with Indian National Anthem song. The house was packed with more then 150 audience offline and Approx 445 (as per sources) were watching online Live on Community techdays Website.

Starting with the Keynote by Ashwin U. Kini ( President- MumbaiITPro ) followed by a Technical Panel discussion with the well known IT Industry experts viz. Rakesh Mohan Goyal, M D Agrawal, Sanjay Shetty. The Panel Discussion was based on “ Whats store for IT in 2010”. Various topics like cloud computing, mobile technology, etc. were discussed.It was knowledgeable ,an interesting Discussion session.

After a short tea session, back to back tech session conducted describing various Microsoft Technology including “ Exchange Server – by Dinesh Kursijia “, “System Center Oveview –by Aviraj Ajgekar”,”Forefont TMG by Juned Ansari”.

At every event/party What’s the most interesting Session ?- definitely its a lunch session.

Now it was the time for the most interesting part of the Event, where really MumbaiITPro rock. It was time for Un-conference session. Within approx 40 mins, 4 back to back demo shoots sessions were conducted by the volunteers of MumbaiITPro.

The Event End with Quiz, prize distribution and lots of fun. And also Hari Maurya i.e Me, featured as Blogger of the month. I would like Thanks to everyone including TechSurface reader for their support.

Overall the event was well-attended and received positive response. Volunteers efforts were appreciable. It was a great experience.
