Pixelformer is a new generation bitmap editor, specifically optimized for creating and editing small-sized images, such as icons, avatars, buttons, etc.
The idea behind Pixelformer is to make a step from classic simple icon editors towards advanced image editing tools. This step is made not only by mixing functionality from different classes of bitmap graphics applications, but also by implementing new unique features which are particularly efficient for images with sizes typical for icons. As a result, in many cases Pixelformer is more convenient than sophisticated hi-end photo editors.
When designing Pixelformer, every effort was made to keep it reasonably simple and predictable, so beginners can quickly learn all the necessary features and reach professional quality, while professionals can apply their skills in the most effective way.
The main features of Pixelformer are:
• no restrictive limits for image dimensions
• support for different color depths up to 32-bit RGB with alpha channel
• semi-transparent colors
• multiple layer support
• free-form masking
• in-place supersampling
• lossless target color depth switching
• independent access to color and alpha channels
• dynamic palette generation
• multiple file format support
• extensible architecture
• icon extraction capability
• PNG size optimization
• Vista icon optimization
• alpha premultiplication
• deep undo buffer

“stunning tutorial”
It’s pretty pathetic when you write your own positive reviews, ‘Maurya’.
This isn’t a tutorial, it’s a damn sales pitch.
By the way, your ‘advanced’ editing program is half broken and half crap. The export button doesn’t work, and the ONLY files it can use are PXF files.
Pray tell, then, what EXACTLY this program is good for if it can only make files that IT can use.
I have had Pixelformer for a while and I don’t even touch it anymore, it sucks terribly.
GIMP is way better.
